HROTD: Mac Costin, 2019 A, Haverford School (PA)

In today’s Highlight Reel of the Day we’re featuring Mac Costin, a 2019 attackman from the national power Haverford School (PA). Mac is an attackman with good size and understanding of the game. He’s smart with the ball and wont be the one to force a contested shot or sail one across the box to the “not-so-open” teammate on the backside. One aspect that I love about Mac’s game is how fundamentally sound it is. His vertical style of play allows his to maintain possession and protect his stick even when his defenders are pressing out. He’s got good speed and soft hands allowing him to turn a corner when taking his defending 1 on 1 from X or the wings.

Mac plays his club ball for Mesa Fresh, one of the oldest, most recognizable club programs in all of lacrosse. I expect Mac to contribute on a hungry Fords team after 16-7 season in 2017.
