HROTD: Zachary Nestor, 2019 A/M, Fayetteville Manlius High School (NY) – Canisius Commit

After a break in our regular scheduled programming, we’re back with a high school recruit for today’s QuickStick Highlight Reel of the Day. Today’ we’re spotlighting Zachary Nestor, a 2019 A/M from Fayetteville Manlius High School in Upstate NY. Zach logged a verbal commitment to Canisius last winter, and boy are the Griffins getting a stud. Zach’s all around playing style is a coaches dream. This kid plays with so much heart and hustle it’s nearly unmatched. On the offensive end he’s extremely fundamentally sound and a superb athlete. “Speed Kills.” His ability to separate from his defenders is next level. Plus he’s capable from initiating from any point in the box. On the defensive end and in transition he’s a total work horse. He may look a tad small, but he’s able to body up his offender and throw precise checks. He’s Scrappy on the groundballs and eager to push forward once gaining possession.

Zach plays his club ball for the CNY (Central New York) Road Hawks. I’m excited to see what he does this spring for F-M, who are looking to build off a 12-6 season and make deep state tournament runs like they did in 2013 and 2014.
