It’s Super Bowl Sunday and we’ve got another QuickStick Q&A for you all. We caught up with Illinois Wesleyan captain and senior midfielder Nick Winter. Nick has been an impact player since he stepped on campus and last season lead the Titans to a Conference Championship and the 2nd Round of the NCAA Tournament. Expectations are high once again for IWU and they can’t wait to get going.

Last year was arguably the best season in program history in which you won a conference championship and made it to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. Make the case for why your team could go deep in the postseason again (conference or national).
This is my 4th and final season playing for IWU and so far this season our team has looked far better than we have at this point in the season in any of those previous years. The bloodthirsty team mentality and blue-collar attitude passed down from the seniors last year is what I think you can contribute this early success to. I expect even more success this year than we had last year.

What game is everyone most looking forward to this season?
This year’s rematch of last years last-second win at Ohio Wesleyan University.
