HROTD: Chandler Bankey, 2019 A, St. John’s Jesuit (Ohio)

Today’s QuickStick Highlight Reel of the Day showcases Chandler Bankey, a 2019 attackman from St. John’s Jesuit in Toledo, Ohio. Aside from having a name that could potentially crack the Inside Lacrosse All-Name team in a couple years, Chandler is a very well-balanced player. He’s got a great combination of size and speed, allowing him to separate from his defenders in a variety of ways. Primarily, right-handed, Bankey likes to initiate from the wing or behind the cage and has the awareness of whether to take it to the rack or recognize the slide and move the ball accordingly. A versatile player, Chandler can also be utilized in the midfield.

Bankey plays his club ball for Burning River Lacrosse Club, a team that over recent years has risen among the top programs not only in the midwest but the entire country. I’m excited to see what Chandler does this spring at SJJ, as the Titans look to bounce back after a disappointing 2017 campaign.
