HROTD: Brendan Tully, 2019 M, Foxborough High School (MA), Providence College ’23

Coming in as the first QuickStick Highlight Reel of the Day in the summer of 2018, we’ve got Brendan Tully, a two-way midfielder who hails from Foxborough, Mass. Brendan has already secured a verbal commitment to join the Friars of Providence College and it’s easy to tell why. This kid is a straight up athlete.

Brendan’s game can be described as old school. His vertical style of play allows him to excel on both sides of the field and he’s an absolute menace in transition. A strong left-handed dodger, Tully will look to gain separation through a mix of speed and strength when initiating from up top before he releases a rifle of a shot.

It’s easy to see how valuable Tully is for Foxborough. #21 is all over the field. As noted, he’s primarily an iso dodger from up top, but he’s deft enough to facilitate from X and quarterback the offense from behind. His ability to read defenses is a step ahead of his competition.

This past spring Tully put up 61 points and served as a captain of FHS for the second time. While also garnering Sun Chronicle and Hock All-Star accolades for the second time each.

I’m excited to see what Brendan puts up this summer with his club team, Warrior Elite, and how he fares in his senior season before heading off to Providence.
