We’re back on the HROTD grind and this time it’s for real. We expect to produce up to 5 of these each week going forward, so don’t be afraid to hold us accountable.
Nevertheless, today we’re featuring Grey Allen (commonly mistaken for Grayson Allen), a 2019 midfielder who hails from Pelham Memorial High School in New York. Grey is a rangy, athletic middie who is a threat with both hands. Primarily a goal scorer, Allen uses his size and strength to separate from defenders. One aspect of his game that really stands out is his patience. In his reel, there are plenty of times where he’ll initiate, step back, and resume his push to the cage after sensing out the defense.
Grey lead the charge this spring for Pelham Memorial, as 2018 may have arguably been their best season ever, winning both NY Sectional and NY Regional Championships. Allen has been a varsity starter for Pelham since his freshman year and earned All-League honors this past spring after dropping 25 goals and dishing out 15 assists. Grey plays his club ball for Team 91 Tri-State. We’re excited to see Grey progress over the summer and look forward to seeing him emerge as one of the top players in Westchester County during his senior spring.
