On the verge of a new year, we bring back an old series. In today’s QuickStick Highlight Reel of the Day we feature Will Deskey, a highly touted goalkeeper out of the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. Deskey is currently junior and an uncommitted 2020.
Will is an explosive netminder. He steps towards shots with confidence and secures the ball, often times looking for a quick outlet pass to push transition. Despite being a tad undersized, Will works his crease and arch extremely well, covering the frame of the goal as the ball works its way around the offense. A great way to summarize Deskey’s game is confident yet patient. He’s played high-quality lacrosse against several of the nations best players and stands tall in the cage.
Deskey participated in the Inside Lacrosse Midnight Mania event which featured countless coaches from notable DI programs as they scouted the best 2020’s in the nation leading up to the September 1st contact date. He also started in net for Lawrenceville this past spring as a sophomore and will look to lead the Big Red in 2019.
