Another day another HROTD! We like the sound of that and hope you do too. Today we’re featuring Connor Theriault, a 2020 netminder from the Northfield Mount Hermon School (MA). NMH plays in the highly competitive NE West I against several of the nation’s top programs. Such experience against high profile talent has proven to be beneficial for Theriault as this past fall he made a verbal commitment to play at Brown!
Connor is an absolute beast in net. He fills the cage and it extremely agile, making swift reactions on bounce shots. He does a tremendous job at stepping into shots and shrinking the net for opposing shooters. As a goalie, ball security is job security and Theriault knows that. His ability to maintain possession of hard time & room and on-the-run shots allows his defense to calmly build clears or push tempo if given transition opportunities. Theriault has no time for rebounds.
Connor is coming off an extremely successful summer ’18 where he was named the All-Star Game MVP at Maverik Showtime and continued to tear things up with perennial power the Fighting Clams. We’re excited to follow the remainder of Jack’s high school career and into his playing days at Brown. Seeing him navigate a defense wearing the #91 Clams jersey gives you flashbacks of former Brown legend and now Team USA goalie, Jack Kelly.
Also gotta shoutout the music choice for the highlight reel. As a big Lightning McQueen guy, some good old Rascal Flatts Life is a Highway always gets the blood pumpin’.
