HROTD: Alex Shapiro, 2022 A, Hotchkiss School (CT)

After a 2-week hiatus (real job got busy, sorry) we’re back on the HROTD grind!

Today we’re spotlighting Alex Shapiro, a 2022 attackman from The Hotchkiss School in Connecticut. Shapiro is a strong right-handed attackman who uses a combination of strength and awareness to torch the opposition. His range from the outside allows him to stretch a defense but then also is able to capitalize through slippery dodges from the wing. A deft finisher, Alex is certainly a shoot first player but understands when best to make the extra pass.

Shaprio plays his club ball for the Westchester Predators and also has made cameos with the Dukes and LB3 National Teams. After a strong start to his high school career where he put up big numbers for The Hopkins School, Shapiro transferred to Hotchkiss where he’ll look to lead the Bearcats in 2021.
