Today’s HROTD spotlight is Byron Newman, a 2022 attackman out of Catonsville, MD. Byron is a true lefty goal scorer with slick hands and a knack for taking it to the rack.
Newman is a scoring threat from any point on the offensive end, whether it’s working off-ball or initiating on his own. He’s capable of stretching a defense with elite outside shooting as well as finishing in-tight with smooth handling on the crease and around GLE.
Byron plays his club ball for the Maryland Roughriders and had a strong Fall 2020 showing, notably making appearances at the Maryland Lacrosse Showcase and Battle of the States Showcase.
